I am 6'1" and when I put the seat in the position that feels best to reach the pedals I feel like the steering wheel is to far away and I have to reach to much. I have the steering wheel adjusted all the way up and as far back as possible. Anyone else feel this way?

Yes. The ergonomics of the seating makes no sense in these trucks - or at least they didn't until the power seats were added for 2020. The seats sit too low. They also aren't bucketed enough which makes almost all your weight press on your butt, rather than proving proper support to your legs, and makes me slide forward. And yes, the steering wheel needs to be able to extend at least another 3 or so inches.

I'm 5'10", and if I have the seat where it's most comfortable in relation to the pedals, I can barely even touch the wheel with my fingertips. lol

Still fine and the same as the test drive I took, before purchase.

    Still in planning phase ...
Felt that way for me too, but at 5'5" ... felt like I was sitting in a five gallon bucket ... I said screw getting "used" to it and just added 1" spacers and made myself comfortable.

The Tacoma brand manager admitted the new 2020 power drivers seat was to address customer complaints with the seating position. High chassis, high floor for better off road capability. Everything is tucked up nice and high.

Aftermarket companies have offered products to supposedly address the issue. Front seat spacers and rear seat spacers are the most common but you will suffer a compromise. Front seat spacers places your thighs closer to the steering wheel and makes egress in/out of your truck more difficult. Rear spacers and you lose headroom. Do they work? Yes for some, no for others.

    ^^I would believe that. I had a 2018 4Runner and didn't have a problem.

I personally feel like the issue is not enough telescope on the steering column versus the seat position, so I'd be really curious to see if the 20's resolve the issue altogether.

5'8" here and I married a non-Rachael. She wanted a 5'10" but realized she needed a 5'8"...how could I deny her. Rig is perfect for me....but her legs are too long to make it comfortable. This is not a problem because it's my truck. Taco ergonomics FTW!

You can seat most of the people some of the time, but you can’t seat all the people all of the time.

TG for fully adjustable seats on the 2020, and TG I’m in the silent 98% some of the time group category.

Yes, 6'1" and moving the seat back far enough for my knees to clear the dash it's a stretch to comfartably reach the steering wheel. Must have been designed for Hobbits

Im in the process of trying to fix this now...

Tried the front spacers but found it better but too high in the front (raised a total of 1 1/4"). Then tried the rear and that made it MUCH worse. Felt like i was sliding off the seat..

So now im trying to compromise. Made these (very rough) 1/4" spacers for the front going to try them on 1/4" increments to see how it feels... im 6' and find raising the front of the seat supports my thighs while pushig my butt and back into a proper position.. wish me luck!20191112_204621.jpg

also 6'1" and have very long arms. but i also had lots of pain in the thigh from the flat seat bottom. so i killed two birds with one stone...

had the seat bottom bucketed and contoured so my bottom sinks into it and back into the seat as well. this takes weight off the thighs and stops the discomfort, and let's me sink back into the seat allowing me to position the seat more frontward taking my arms & shoulders more forward also. that puts the wheel in a comfortable position. i had to spend time figuring this out, how to do it all in one effort.

Im 5'11" and it fits me like a glove, i got the sunroof too. My hands are a bit longer than average so luckily it works for me. The steering wheel is all the way out and the seat is pretty much all the way back.

I adjust my seat so nobody can really sit in the back, if someone needs to sit behind me, i would be very uncomfortable.
