worst case take it to a auto upholstery shop and have them make a custom foam inside made to your body, kind of like getting a new suit tailored. just a thought

Thanks guys, that's a good thought. I have cloth seats so I've already been considering adding Katzkin leather. I'm sure they could contour the seat at the same time.

    Really appreciate the help.

??? Help me figure out what to buy
I have the same problem with the Tacoma seats. The manual adjustment seats create so much pressure just below my shoulder blades that a 6 mile test drive was killing me. I have a '23 TRD Offroad on order (indicated build date was yesterday). The ergonomics obviously work for some people, but I am very concerned that even with the power adjustable seats I won't be able to get a comfortable position. Are their any leaks/indications that the 2024 will have better seats/ergonomics?

I too was having upper back issues right below the shoulder blade area. I’m not sure how it works but I just added 3/4 spacers to the back of the seat and it is worlds better. I may end up doing the 1” but for now much happier.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I'm a big fan of the seat jackers, but before you buy and aren't happy, try using 1/2" flat washers. IIRC, I have 3 under each side in the back of my driver's seat which was about 1/4". Screw around with it, experiment, then you'll know.

The upholstery shop idea may be the answer, though.

I just traded my '04 for a '22 TRD OR and have the same problem! I am glad I am not the only one. I am 6'3" and my upper back feels too large for the seats. It feels like an upholstery shop might be the way to go. The other issue I am running into is with the steering wheel distance. It is ridiculously far, and I can't get it closer without moving the seat closer, which cramps my legs.
