I have these in my truck and for some reason my carpet under the drivers side is wet and it's starting to smell. Anyone else have had this problem?? I don't know how the carpet is getting wet, any ideas??

Have them front and back, 2.5 years no problem. Have you pulled any wires thru the firewall or removed any trim to make mods? Only thought is condensation but that would be everywhere I would think.

Sounds like a water leak. I'd look at the cowl vent, windshield, door seal, factory roof rack if you have one.

I get that when I drag a lot of snow into the truck, it leaks in at the mat holders if I don't dump it out quick after melting.

In the winter the moisture can hang around under the mat. Take it out, put the heater on the floor setting and leave it there for a few days.

Bumping this thread b/c i'm trying to chase down the same issue. My carpet on the drive'rs side gets wet after I wash the truck or it rains heavily. I did find my weather stripping ( https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~weatherstrip~front~door~opening~trim~lh~62312-04041.html ) on the driver's side is craked. I am going to replace that weather stripping, but reading this thread, I did have my windsheild replaced a few months back so its possible its coming from there. I do not recall the carpets being wet after replacement of the windsheild, but where should I begin to look for a leak from the windsheild? The carpet is only wet at the flat spot of the floor board. Up near the peddles is dry and there is no musty smell from there. Any help is appreciated. I'm getting sick of using a shop vac and fan to dry out the carpet and then shampoo the carpet to get rid of the smell.

Have someone hold a hose over the windshield and effected areas. If you have a roof rack, mine was causing a leak into that exact spot. But in your case it may as well be the windshield or that cracked piece since you replaced them.

ever figure it out? I've got it now and see wetness on the back carpet where my pinky finger is, at the bottom only. Water is pooling at my pointer finger area.
Inside the engine bay water is coming out the pass through where wires pass through the firewall.

I just bought a 2011 Prerunner 3 months ago. Discovered when it rains the driver side carpet gets wet (flat area only.) Sometimes I notice a little moisture on carpet behind the driver seat. I thought that may have spread from the front. I have taken off the interior door jams and vinyl on the doorpost. No moisture there. I don't have a roof rack, but looks like a little rust spot up near where the pre-drilled holes might be. Is it possible for rain to run along the roof and down to the driver's floorboard???
I also removed the cowling to look for clogged drain holes, only to discover they aren't visible. Must be down inside the frame? HELP!

I looks like all the white is silicone. A lot of silicone.

Here's what I've done so far - still getting water in...

    Silicone around the cowl
Blew out the air conditioner condensation tube
Silicone around the third brake light
Silicone around the base of both sides of the roof rack
Sealed all around the firewall - anywhere there is an opening into the cab
    Silicone around the back window

I haven't been driving my truck so in my case, it's definitely a leak from above...really pulling my hair out on this. O0pen to any other ideas.

I don’t know your truck, but that is exactly like mine. Drivers side. On firewall.

Looks like the cable wire feed through on the drivers side of the firewall.

I did not, but it has stopped leaking:confused: . I have it narrowed down to a firewall "plug / Gasket" where I ran a power wire through or it was possibly from my windshield replacement. I did several water tests when I was washing my truck by flooding the windshield from the top which also allowed the cowl (between the hood and windshield) to flood and I could never see water trickling into the floor board. Wish I had more of an answer to help others with this issue.
