I have a 09 ac. I'm getting a clunking sound from driver side. So I check the tire see if I can move it on ground no movement. Put it up on lift upper and lower controll arms no slop shock is fine. This is driven me nuts just started Sunday with all the snow. Any help is appreciated

Clucking sound usually means that something is loose...

I would do as the other members recommend and check to see if your sway bar is secured on tightly. I know from experience...

If it just started Sunday, and your truck has snow and ice all over the undercarriage I would wait until that all melts off and see if the noise is still there when the snow/ice is gone.

You could very well end up wasting your time removing parts and diagnosing a phantom noise that was just ice buildup on the undercarriage.

Is your truck's stance modified from a stock setup?

Check your sway bar links... mine does the same thing. Grab the sway bar in the wheel well near the link and shake it. If it is the links, you should be able to recreate it!

    Mine is 4x yes

I'll give the sway bar a shake tomorrow.

Also give the battery a shake too - I read they can get loose but this definitely feels suspension related.

Erks me because it's brand new.

Went camping. It was quite pronounced when I'd flex the suspension.

    She's going to Toyota tomorrow

So it was loose body mounts - mainly the right side.

Truck was previously sprayed with Krown Rust Protection.

Toyota reckons they must have loosened the mounts when they sprayed and didn't tighten them back up.

    I laughed.

So far seems like they found the noise though.

    Moving on.
