My drivers side door on my 1 month old tacoma takes more force to close than the other three doors. It also pops out when opening. It feels like the door latch needs adjustment.

Anyone have a similar issue they DIY fixed? I saw the video on youtube with the guy with the red hyundai but that didn't work with the "non aggressive" effort I tied. Didn't want to break something

I know I can do to the dealer but I'm dreading sitting around and waiting for them to do it if its something simple I can do myself once I know the trick.

When you take it in for something else mention it to the dealership. Look at the how the door fits, are all the gaps the same. For any adjustments you make remember the door weight it could be something you need help with. Does the panel line up evenly around the door opening. Normally to pop open there has to be a slight bind any of those could be a factor otherwise it could be a hinge or body issue. That can't be adjusted out by you. I'm more used to doors on buildings. But those are factors I look for sometimes it's an easy fix other times no so. Good luck

I have the same issue on my 2020, I asked at the dealer and was told it's normal. It has not gotten any better or worse.

Code for no easy fix. As long as no paint is wearing off or other binding issues it should be good. On a building it's usually move the stop or hinge location in or out. Not as easy on a vehicle.

That's body shop work for most cases. Not saying a mechanic can't do it, it's just that those types of adjustments go to techs who disassemble and reassemble body panels for a living

If yours has a full shop, they could fix it in house. If they farm out body work as many do these days, let them provide you a loaner and keep it for a couple of days. No reason to sit and wait.

I mean isn't warranty work a prime piece of logic folks use to justify a new vehicle?

    Use it.

Thanks, I called my local dealership and they said contact the collision center. Looks like I will be working with those folks.

If it was the passenger door I would be OK but the drivers side is driving me crazy.
