My driver's side door seems to be a little off, almost like its not closing tightly enough? I'll try to describe it as best I can...It seems harder to shut (as in harder than the passenger door) and sometimes I have to close it twice. Also, my biggest annoyance here - the door rubber gasket will make rubbing noise while driving (especially so offroad). I've been dealing with it as its not a huge issue but I recently had a Frontier rental (not sure why anyone would want one of those, just my opinion) and it was so nice to not have that sound. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? Tightening/loosening the door hinges somehow?

(I did use some aerospace on the rubber and that seemed to quiet it temporarily)

    Thanks for any input!

Mine will squeak if the frame “twist”.
Usually while dropping into a shallow creek or drainage ditch, and letting one wheel drop in at a time.
I’ve had 2 different Access-Cab trucks, they do the did it more then a single cab , or double cab.
I guess the door supports on the double cab help with body flex. But I don’t know?
I’ve been using low shine or low gloss armor-all on my door seals for years.
It may not be the best thing to use, but I makes me “feel” better.
Both trucks have wore on the front door seal that is mounted to the access door.
And it’s not just mine, I’ve seen it on other AC trucks.

You just need to adjust the striker on the door. It should be 2 screws that's connected to a U shaped bracket.

I replaced both of those on my truck. I don’t remember how much they were from Toyota, but I think they weren’t stupid expensive. It was mostly a cosmetic thing that bugged me.

    I haven’t replaced mine.
If I see signs of water intrusion, then I will replace them.
There was a time when cosmetics matter to me, not so much any more.
    Or maybe I’m “lazy” lol
