I'm planning on routing coax for a cb antenna up through the floor on the drivers side. I don't wanna take anything apart. If I put a small slit/hole in the carpet where I'm pointing to, will I have direct vision of/ access to this grommet? Or is there any obstruction between the carpet and the grommet?20170310_194746.jpg

I use a pick to poke a hole in it from the underside, from the top with the panel removed you can lift up the carpet and find where the pick is stuck through

edit: don't poke through the wires

If I just remove the Grey kick plate/ door sill piece will the carpet lift up?

Taking that bottom panel off under your hand is easy. No tools needed. Just pull it off slowly from the back, wiggling as you apply pressure. Should just pop off. Then you can reach under the carpet and pull the wire through the grommet without tearing up the carpet. I did that running the wire for a back up camera.

And yes the carpet pulls up once that plate is removed.
