    None... Yet.
Just bought a 2005 Tacoma and I'm absolutely in love with it. Best vehicle I've ever owned. The only issue I've got right now is that both the front and back speaker on the driver's side of the truck are not working. I verified this by adjusting the fade and balance to front left and back left. I'm wondering if there is a fuse or something that would explain this. I checked all the fuses I thought would control this, it just seems too conspicuous that BOTH the speakers on the same side of the truck are out. In the end, I'm trying to avoid taking a speaker from the right side of the truck and switching it to the left side to verify wether or not is a wiring issue or a hardware issue. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for the help.

Id start with pulling the door panel and checking out the speaker. You can have the panel off in less than 10 minutes easy. It should be rather obvious if someone has been in there or if everything is stock. Possibly the previous owner upgraded the system and pulled everything out before selling it and just forgot to plug them in again. I would think you could test the wiring to see if it has power rather than switching the speakers around to but I don't know.

Well you can't exactly read a speaker wire with an ohm meter.. An oscilloscope yes you could check it. Easier to just plug in a different speaker.

There are no fuses for the speakers...

i have been searching the interwebs for days
in my conclusion it has to be a failure in the amp itself
in my experience the possibly that not only one but two speakers failing at the same time might be pretty rare
but the drivers door tweeter still works, is it the same for you ?
but my issue that the location of the amp is a mystery
i have been under the dash for about an hour today

You responded to a thread from 2016, and it was the only post he ever made.

Long odds say don't expect a response from the original poster. ;)
