My windows rattle in all 4 corners when I'm wheeling...all the time. Down, up, and everything in between.

Took my truck in for a 25,000 mile service and had them look at my driver window rattle. They fixed it. they took a piece of foam tape and placed it between the metal door and the window seal or window track. The window track it too big for the window, got to pinch it together with some foam tape. Doesn't rattle now.

Got pics? I've given up on tracing that rattle for the last 3 years...I've read every post on the subject and was under the assumption that it was in fact the seat belt height adjuster...but my back window rattles when I lower it a 1/2" to vent also...

Don't have any pictures. they had the truck back in service. but the foam tape goes about where the mirror is under the seal between the inside of the door metal and the window seal.

I had the same problem with my rear passenger window. It was a quick 20-30 minute job without knowing what I was getting into and figuring out a solution. This is not hard by any means. As long as you have the tools needed in front of you, I don't see this fix taking more than 15-20 minutes.

Tools/ Supplies needed: Philips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, your choice of adhesive

    1. Remove the door panel.
1.1. Remove the top black panel from the door by removing the plastic fastener and gently pulling off the panel
1.2. Next remove the main panel by removing the two screws behind the door latch and the "change" cubby. Pry off gently.

    2. Unhook the connector to the window switch from the door panel. I had to use a flathead screwdriver to help unplug the panel. Be careful not to break the connector.

    3. Peel back the protective plastic that covers the door. You will be able to reattach it when you are done.

    4. Look inside the door and find the weather stripping that should be laying around somewhere on the bottom.

    5. Clean the window track and apply you choice of adhesive (3M Adhesive spray OR Mounting tape)

    6. Insert the weather stripping into the window track. Be sure that the rubber connect to each other so the window will not catch on the edges and push the stripping off the track again.

    7. Test the window to see if it slides up and down without obstruction and then put everything back on. Start at step 3 and work to step 1

NOTE: I discovered the window would not roll down from the drivers side controls without the passenger panel plugged back in. I did a fit test with the plug partially plugged back in just to make sure everything was ok then disconnected the panel and reattached the plastic.

I just did this to my 2012. Sure enough it was the track weather strip. So i put the weather strip back in the track and made sure the window worked correctly by rolling it up and down a bunch of times to make sure it works smoothly.
Put everything back together and now im rattle free. :)
