Driver's unlock tied to Front passenger's unlock.

For those wanting to have front passenger's door unlock at same time as Driver's door.



Revised manner, avoids any electrical gremlins...



P.S. Think of it as you'd install the TAILGATE unlock/lock solenoid.

 

Wait can't you do this through the headunit?

 

Dunno, can you? It's driver's or all doors unlock on first click in Head Unit settings.

 

My bad I miss understood passenger's door as all doors not just the front two

 

Carista enables this setting.

Unless Carista is a physical thing, there's no magic switch to tell the Head Unit only the Driver's and Front Passenger's door and not the both rear passenger doors...

D-DR UNLOCK = Driver's Door
L/D-DR = All other doors
ALL DR LOCK = ALL doors LOCK

 

On my 19 you can change in Settings

 

Change only front doors unlock...do show

EDIT: You show "05 PreRunner", but you posted in the 3rd Gen subforum. What do you have??

 

It can't tell the MBECU just unlock driver's and front passenger's door and not the rear passenger doors (rear left & right)

 

Totally awesome. I’ve been longing to make this happen. I find the all settings just too much and the driver only a pia big time. I wish I could do just driver side so my dog didn’t need to be on all fours etc. thanks

OP, I have to say, your first post was unclear. I read it as all doors unlocking (passengers can also ride in the back). For me, it is a non-issue, as I want the back doors to unlock as well.

And Carista still can't tell the system to just unlock the front doors.
