yes just garb it with a big locking vise grip pliers or cut it off and then replace it with a new bolt from the dealer or buy a grade #8 bolt, DO NOT just put a generic bolt in it or it will snap off under the stress, it needs to be a hardened grade #8 or higher bolt for it to have the proper strength

    Part numbers should be:
    Propellor Flange Nut: Toyota 90080-17239
Propellor Flange Washers (pack of 4): Toyota 90560-10H00
    Propellor Flange Bolt: Toyota 90080-10294

Might want to double check but pretty sure. That's what I used last time I ordered from Camelback.

Get the correct parts from the dealer!!!

A regular bolt no matter what grade will come loose!!

The fit where it goes through the flange is critical !!!

bolt should be "splined" also where it goes through the flange,,, I wouldn't chance it.

The press-in-bolt is not available from the dealer. You have to buy the whole flange if you want to replace one. I went looking when the garage that did the clutch left me a few surprises.

I've been running the regular non-press bolts for awhile now with no issue. Same bolts that get used at all the other flanges. Just made sure to torque them to spec and haven't loosened since.

One of these days, I'll get around to replacing it but since every other flange uses non-pressed bolts, figured it was good enough.

Yup, those be the non-splined toyota ones. I wonder if they are offering them for cheaper than the dealer.

The Toyota Drive Flange bolts will work !!

Using bolts makes it easier to get the drive shaft out as well

It is off the shelf bolts that cause problems .

This is interesting. I've never seen a pressed-in bolt on a Toyota flange. Anyone know what models and which flanges came like that from the factory? The flange on the rear diff of my Tacoma doesn't have any. My '84 4runner didn't have any at all, front or rear.

On my 2003, they are only on the transfer case output flanges.

^^ Same for my 2003. The bolts are pressed in. The splines look similar to a wheel stud.
The shoulder length is close to the thickness of the DS flange and is an exact fit for the hole in said flange. No slop at all.

    Hope this helps you.

All 4 are the pressed-in type, or just one of them?

All 4 are press in for the rear driveshaft, and they are pressed in off the t case too for the front d shaft

Can I use grade 8 bolts is the shoulder is the proper length? It's strange...the press in bolts for the front d shaft are smaller ...about a m10....the ones for the rear driveshaft are about a m12 , but seem like a m11
