I get shit all the time from my stepfather, who owns a Silverado, and my boss at work whose got a Dakota. My boss bought this black Dakota with 150K on it, it runs like complete ass and he still insists his truck is the best. His Dakota sits at the same height as my STOCK tacoma after he did a 2 inch lift and added 31 in cooper stts. . . . .All I say to anyone is that I have my Tacoma because it can survive a meteor shower lol, everyone give me a real weird look when I say it, but all you toyota guys know what I mean

Dude doesn't even have the v8 in his. He's got the 6. Hedrove all the way from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania to pick it up, and pay 6 grand for it, and it runs like garbage. He test drove an 02 tacoma, v6 with the 5 speed, but he's so biased towards dodge that he did nothing but basically say the tacoma is a piece of garbage. I don't care, he can keep calling my truck cute all he wants. . . At least my truck will survive a tsunami, nuclear war, a meteor shower, or any other disaster that could possible happen. . . . . . Dodge. get the f outta here lol

My dad has an f250 powerstroke and he is always saying if I ever get stuck the ford will be happy to pull me out. Or joking we could just throw my truck in the back of his bed. When I got my truck my girlfriend said "I thought you were gonna get a big truck" I love my tacoma though. Would trade it for anything else though. Ill be the last owner of this truck.

that's the beauty of this truck. i can use it as my DD for a few years, then i can get it modded, lifted, and armored then run it into the ground.

I better keep her, shes been around a few years. She knows the truck isnt going anywhere though.
Just today me and my dad were eating lunch and talking tires. He has 285's on his f250 and was joking about how I couldn't fit them stock. He can fit 315's with little to no trimming.

it all depends on what you want to pay for...if you can afford it, then go for it. i would personally rather spend the money i would spend on gas on mods and armor :p

I don't care what anybody says. If I need to...I'll go home and get my 84' F250 with a 460 BB and a 8' bed. I drive that when I need to though...it gets around 8-10 mpg.

the taco will outdo any other midsize of its age anyways, so comparisons with fullsizes aren't even in the same category.

Stopped in traffic today, had a F150 come up behind me, of course he kept inching up until he was right on my bumper. Maybe I take it the wrong way, but to me it's like he was saying get a real truck. :brianr:
