DoorDash Confidential with Charlie (another PennSilverTaco thread)!

Saw this on last night’s DoorDash run; Pennies used to decorate the reception desk at a Chinese restaurant in Plymouth Meeting (the one penny in the second photo is apparently worth fifty bucks!)...

 

Saw this in Plymouth Meeting while dashing today...

 

I normally do not take the $3.00 jobs, but this one was an extremely short distance, going to a bank in a Plymouth Meeting Walmart; No, they did not tip...

 

End up in Philly and saw this van just sitting up on the sidewalk...

 

Also saw this Lincoln Town Car sporting a New Jersey temp tag and a busted window just steps away from the van; 99% sure it was stolen...

 

One thing I noticed in Philly was a lot of vehicles that had flat tires or were missing license plates (or both in the case of this Jeep Commander)...

 

So much garbage!

 

Yet another vehicle with a flat (but this one has a license plate)...

 

A street where I made a delivery; The woman gave me a $10 cash tip on top of the nearly seven dollar delivery fee!

 

Saw this on another residential street in Philly...

 

No room in the backyard of an old rowhome that did not previously have central air, so the unit had to go in the front yard...

 

Haven’t done Uber Eats since 2019; Their algorithm for assigning jobs sucks!

 

DoorDash, but shit happens; That could have just as well happened while I was driving to a friend’s house or a car show...

 

You don’t believe me...

I’ve already made $128 dollars for less than eight and a half hours of driving around and spent only $21 on gas; I plan on clearing $50 today and tomorrow, which will more than pay for a new tire, and then next week as well!

 

It’s just to supplement income; Wait until Puck reopens!

 

That’s another thing I forgot to mention; DoorDash is apparently offering the same service as InstaCart...

I do not like shopping for people other than myself or my parents because there is a high likelihood of me getting the wrong thing. I only shopped for Puck because I got the same shit month after month and knew where everything was.

I believe it was yesterday when DoorDash tried to me to the CVS in Doylestown; I initially accepted it since it was like $10.50, but then I realized I was expected to go inside and shop for the items. I’m sorry, but my job is to pick up readymade food orders and bring them to the customer; This is the same reason I refuse to go to Dunkin Donuts, Wendy’s Baskin Robbins, and a number of other places! They expect me to get in line, place the order, and wait for the food in a job that prioritizes speed!

On top of that, no way in hell I’m spending an extended period time inside a CVS Pharmacy during an ongoing pandemic!

 

And FYI, I didn’t even know Baskin Robbins still existed until I was summoned to that particular store back in 2019!

 

Aside from the one DoorDash took to, there be one in Newtown...
