I will be driving from SOCAL to Wichita, KS on the last week of December. I don't have much experience driving in snow and I will like to know how much snow should be expected at this time of the year in that area.

I am thinking on taking my 2004 Tacoma 2WD but I am concerned about the possibility of getting stuck in the snow without 4WD, as far as I know, pick up truck are not the greatest for snow driving because of the lack of rear weight. Although I am not expecting too much snow on the FWY/HWY areas.

In addition any precautions that I should take with the truck, like coolant to avoid it from freezing or windshield fluid. Other than that my truck is in great shape.

    Thanks for your recommendations!
