Hi so right now im living in Alaska and theres going to be snow/ice on the road for the next few months. My truck dosent handle so well in 2wd in the snow/ice so I have been keeping it in 4wd. By keeping my truck in 4wd will it ruin anything?

lol. Just as long as you are on an unstable surface running 4 wheel should be good.

Ok yeah there's only 2 paved roads on this island and the rest are rock. Only the paved roads get plowed but even after that there's still snow.

You will be fine, especially where you are.

Did you get some good tires?

    I have the goodyear Duratracs

its a all terrain tire that is also snow rated

I have found it to be outstanding during winter

but being where you are, you may need a dedicated snow tire

the stock tires are about the only thing that restricts the trucks full capibilites

i changed mine within months of getting truck before winter

    because of this:

OP , you'll be fine with 4x4 engaged all the time , better tires than stock will help a lot , and some weight in the bed helps as well ( if it's not already full of snow )

Congrats on having the only 4wd prerunner on TW !

    haha

haha nice, yeah im gona get some new rims and tires after i put the 5100's on but thats gone be a few months, living off of a military salary right now. i decided to go with some sliders first since a few weeks ago someone backed into me and dented up both the front and back doors at the very bottom. but i plan on getting the 5100's hopefully soon.
