So I'm looking to wire up these lights on my 3rd Gen (I'm aware they are cheap lights) and from what I'm reading online I should use a relay in the wiring of them. The cheapo kit they include is just a fuse some wires and little switch. So if these lights are 55w can I buy another better wiring kit with a nicer switch like this and a relay?CH4x4-TOY-OFRL-Angle.jpgI don't see many kits with that low of watts, they are most like 255w. Im completely new at this so any help would be appreciated. Im also not opposed to buying a whole new set up with lights and a wiring kit if that makes more sense too.

I guess my question is if I buy a higher watt wiring kit and the lights are pulling less power than the kit is rated for it should be fine? Only if I was attaching lights which were higher watt than the kit would heat become an issue.

Yes, the wiring kit should be rated greater than the lights. You will be fine.
