Maybe one of the other dealers can get you in right away? In which case the 100km drive might be worth it

Yea I called every dealer in the province haha. Only one that could see me somewhat soon is 100km away, the rest could only get it in to look at a minimum 3 weeks from now.

Does anybody know if this recall on the leafs applies to 2013 Sport model? I searched my vin on Toyota recall and don't see anything about it, nor do I see it being done in my service history. I have been hearing a clank on certain bumps and finally tracked it down to a broken leaf on driver side. I will secure with hose clamps for now, but definitely need to get it fixed. If its's not covered by recall for me, can somebody point me in towards a good aftermarket or newer model replacement? Not looking to lift....but maybe it would be a good time to update the whole suspension. Maybe 5100's for an inch of lift?

I just used my VIN in the Toyota recall and campaign lookup to check, But I believe it was 2005-2011.

Im not 100% certain but I believe you don’t qualify since your truck already came with the springs they are replacing the broken units with. Supposedly The springs eligible for replacement are/were the 2+1 packs put on the non sport models and pre 12? Trucks. I believe all 2.5 gen trucks got the 3+1 packs that were standard issue on the sports. Which is why I’m surprised op is approved for replacement since he’s not riding on the og packs.

If not looking to lift just buy a set of 3rd gen take offs for 100-200$ with zeroish miles on them.

Toyota published a FAQ document about the recall and its stated that "the subject vehicles’ rear suspension system contains leaf springs that are constructed of either three or four leaves."

Interesting, Thanks for sharing. I was unaware that 05-11 non sport trucks came equipped with 3+1 packs.

Regardless the replacement springs which were installed on 2.5 gen trucks are still shit and still break in the same manner as the ones they are supposed to supersede.
