All this hubbub about 4x4 "do this, don't do that" pavement driving procedure brings up a question. If occasional driveline loading and scrubbing of tires caused by turning in 4wd on a high traction surface can cause damage then spinning and grabbing in low traction conditions such as spinning one wheel on ice and then suddenly hitting dry pavement must cause real havoc. Wouldn't the driveline be more durable than that?

I Understand what the manual says and I read it. Real world operation in a 2021 TRD OR with 285 tires was 55 MPH per the dashboard speedo. YMMV.

According to the manual you can engage 4H up to 62mph nothing above or it will not engage and beep.
