I've gone through many red lights while riding the motorcycle. Left, straight......most traffic lights won't trigger on a single motorcycle. So, I stop, wait for a light cycle, look in all directions, wait another cycle. Then if no other traffic, I leave. Was stopped once by an LEO. Explained what I did, he didn't believe me. We went back to the light to prove to him.........he issued a warning.

What you should do is contact the traffic management folks and with warning in hand tell them they need to increase the sensitivity of the system.

You probably need to aim your headlights properly. Might just be aimed too high or wide. I see it constantly on other vehicles. Asshats are clueless.

People who flip you off or otherwise "road rage" at you for beeping at them when they were so blatantly and obviously in the wrong that it isn't even funny!

Vehicles (typically trucks and Jeeps) with retina-singing LED lightbars mounted on the front! Local police have no problem giving my friend a $150 ticket for "illegal" tint in his car when he wasn't otherwise breaking the law, but they haven't cracked down on the dickheads who use their LED lightbars on public roads!

    :annoyed:

I understand that people have financial issues and can't always afford to fix their vehicles, but a good number of people see their vehicles as little more than A-to-B commuter appliances whether they're obscenely wealthy or living below the poverty line...

I find it rather annoying when a Subaru (or Hyundai, or generic 4-door vehicle that should be in good shape) that's maybe 10 to 12 years old is so neglected that you can hear squealing belts and screeching brakes from two or three blocks away! In my truck, the only thing you can hear from blocks away is the stereo!

Light bars and aftermarket unfocused LEDs are a bane to all drivers. I agree, those using them should be ticketed.

With that said, there are always 2 sides of every story and interaction. I am sure I will probably get flamed for my opinion, but here it is anyhow.

Part of the issue with ticketing illegal tint is officer and public safety. If police are unable to see who is or what is going on behind the wheel it is a dangerous situation for both officer and citizen.

After all, how would you feel if your job required you to walk up to a mirror, window you can not see through, knowing a number of the public dislikes or hates you because you wear a badge? On top of that, you are expected to assess the situation from every angle, find the most peaceful and polite way to deal with whatever the infraction is. Officers never get judged by the public or the media for things they had no way of seeing or knowing right? This all, more frequently than not, happens on a busy road with traffic blowing past maybe a foot away from you.

But hey, officers don't need to be seeing what is going on in the car. They should not be hassling "innocent" people who have only broken one or two laws. They should just go get the "real" criminals.

Tint laws aren't real laws and don't really protect anyone right?

My tint is legal under Pennsylvania law; Illegal under New Jersey law...

However I only go into Jersey a few times a year, and I’m a Pennsylvania resident, so I don’t know NJ tint laws apply to me...?

Your home state dictates the laws you have to follow and not a visiting state's as far as modifications. If we were subjected to every state's laws, we'd all be in trouble for all sorts of issues.

I listen to real music too.

Classic Rock, Rock, a little metal, a little pop, a little jazz, a little country, a little of this and that, hip hop, rap, and all types of music out there.

I need better speakers so you all can hear the new Kid Cudi album that is absolute fire.

I’ve been known to listen to classical music in my truck from time to time, but I mostly meant classic rock...

“My, my, my, I’m once bitten, twice shy!”

Yes, classic rock. Several tunes on the radio absolutely require maxing the volume. AC/DC, Queen, Aerosmith, ZZTop, ....... among countless others

That crap from the era of the BeeGees makes me want to hurl. :puke:

Can relate. My cousin is a police officer in CA and pulled someone over going 15 over the limit who ran a stop sign. The vehicle had heavy tint all around, not sure if legal off my head. As he is about at the rear bumper of the car, the window rolls down and the driver yells "YOU ONLY STOPPED ME BECAUSE I'M BLACK!!!"

This was at night and the vehicle went by him in such a way that my cousin couldn't see in the windows (which were up), which he told the driver and that even with the car stopped and his patrol lights on he couldn't tell how many people were in the vehicle much less anything else.

Never will I again listen to them after the Station nightclub fire. Plenty of blame to go around there but I think the band got off easy

It takes A LOT for me to hold a big enough grudge against a band or individual musician that I will not listen to them anymore; If that “A LOT” ever happens, I will tell you what it is...

Not that I was ever a big fan of Justin Bieber to begin with, but I think he’s enough of a douche that I will change the station if anything other than this one Christmas song by him comes on!

Not sure if you remember that but about 100 or so people died in that fire and they were just as culpable as the club.
