I haven't read all previous 84 pages so this likely a top post. At least once a day, there is a vehicle ahead of me with two out of three brake lights burnt out.

Stop trying to squeeze into the space between me and the car in front. It's there for a reason...

Driving on a 2 lane road, they are 15 under the speed limit - come to a passing zone and they open it right up to 15 over.

End of passing zone and back down to 15 under.

It is a shame that being stupid isn't more painful. :smack:

I've found that some people's ego and a healthy dose of hubris will make them take someone passing them, exceptionally personal. FFS just pull right, let the car pass, and move on with your goddamn day and don't get your clams steamed over someone who wants to pass.

Up in Maine recently, highway sign reads "slower traffic keep right"

Whaddya know, the slower traffic stays right, people pass on left, and life moves on.

One of my favorite experiences ever...

was riding my motorcycle in the canyons, so one lane roads with not many places to pass. Car in front of me going at a decent pace, albeit slower than i'd like. I'm patient, and wait for a passing lane to come around to pass safely. He sees me about to go to pass him in the passing lane, decides to get into the passing lane, and floor it so he can stay ahead of me. Mind you there was no one in front of him.

I decide to stay extra cautious, and let him stay in front. We come to the end of the passing lane, which leads into a left turn, and I maintain my speed while I watch him struggle to keep it on the road, eventually running off.

Luckily this was one of the flatter sections, so he just ran into the dirt and likely felt like an idiot. I just kept on riding.

I took a trip to the Midwest last year, crossing Indiana traffic came to almost a standstill - at best I idled along in first gear for several miles.

Finally getting to the cause of this giant miles long backup - an accident on the other side of the divided highway.

:censored: people slowing down to gawk backed up traffic for an hour.

Rubbernecks are the worst. I flash my headlights at people who are rubbernecking to try and get their eyes back on the road. Geez!

Ah, you've been driving in British Columbia I see.

I'm never going back to that province until they finish twinning their highways.

That space is there for them at least that's how they look at it. I know that's not why.

    Amen.

Road tripped the other weekend, over the course of the trip had 2 or 3 people pass me in slow moving traffic because I was driving the average speed and leaving a large enough gap to do so. Watched them alternate between gas and brake while riding the next guys’ ass until things cleared up.

Don’t care about the passing, would rather these types were in front of me than half a car length behind me. But I’m convinced traffic exists because people don’t understand how to drive in it

Some people get out of the right lane and into the left lane to go slower. Then two exits later cause the entire right to slow because they want that exit and slow the left lane down in the process.
