Barbecue pretty much totally kicks ass. I even like North Carolina vinegar-cue.

And I have to say the barbecue up here in the KC area has really impressed me. Tejas bbq is good, but the sauces up here are really something.

We came back to Denver a couple days ago..

    1. Did a Oklahoma Joes's dinner, and went back for takeout the next night, then leftovers for breakfast before the drive back. Pretty good stuff.. Had a Z-man, then stood in line to get another..lol.. Only thing may have been better (for my wife's 95 year old g'pa) was if it was more of a dine in restaurant with service, rather than the "fast food" deal they have now.. Glad we went early the first night so the line and the seating was decent.
    2. Also did Johnny's BBQ when we first got into Olathe. I liked Joe's better. Authur Bryant's we have been to before. That is grandpa's favorite. Guess they are back up to par after going down hill for a couple years.
    3. I'm glad some of you mentioned Oasis.. I would probably have never realized that place was there. If so, we would have stopped on the way over as well.. Was good to get the kids out of the car and get to run around for a bit.

Well grandpa met his only great grand-daughter, and spent more time with his GG-son and his granddaughter (my wife).. He is now 95, so another trip to Kansas will probably never happen again..

It was fun though.. Not sure I mentioned, but
