Space are what cause this on the new style shocks.

I run spacers on my 99 and don’t have any problems.

    Hard no.

    Unless you really have to.

Then ratchet strap the upper to the lower and take it real easy

I haven’t ever been one for spacers or blocks, or anything that lifts without performance. In fact after I bought and built an 85 pickup I haven’t been inclined to do anything more than maintain my Toyota’s with OEM parts.

Second owner, but it took me a year to find this truck, and I did all my research and inspections when purchasing.

If there’s no spacers all the naysayers pitch in an buy my new parts? If there are spacers I buy my new parts?

There's no win for us in that gamble. If there's spacers, you buy everyone on TW new shocks. LOL

Gotta do what ya gotta do!!

I lost a lower control arm bolt in the middle of Dusy Ershim and had to cross thread it back on, destroy the threads, then wrap a chain around the upper and lower arms so they moved together even if the bolt became loose

    Damn good times

You’re right, probably best to just believe the owner when he says there aren’t any spacers on his own truck.

Shit happens, stuff breaks, I guess I could have tapped on my shocks with a hammer once a week to make sure they were good, but it’s been pretty darn cold up here and there’s about a half an inch of salt grime covering every vehicle so I chose to go skiing instead!

Luckiest isn’t the first word that comes to mind when you say you drove with 2 broken front shocks resting on your LCA

Just kidding. I dropped the truck at my in-laws while I wait for parts, I’ll take a photos for all those curious when I got to work on it once I get the parts.

Also if you need a good laugh google “ugliest spacer lifts.”
