Hope all goes well. Glad I could help. Thanks for the krispy Kreme donut. Keep us posted with pics. Because a thread is useless without photos. Now prove to us there wasn't a spacer on there!!
    Enjoy your wings.

Today, with the help of my father in law, I replaced both front coilovers, cv axles, sway bar links, and did an oil change and tire rotation. Everything would have gone a lot quicker except the nuts on the top of one of the shock towers were rusted and rounded off, and the CV axle on the passenger side did not slide out as easily as the driver’s side. The truck looks and drives like new, and what do you know I didn’t have spacers on the original factory coilovers! Thanks to @Braves95 for the parts and to all the great posts on this site with instructions on how to work on Tacoma trucks!

Truck sitting nice and level now!

And the originals on the truck because that was requested:

    All freshened up!

    Same crap everyone else got
So if the rust did that to your shock, have you had your frame inspected? Wonder if you have any holes in it yet?

I bought this particular truck in part because it had the frame replaced the previous year and no other rust damage (that couldn’t be easily repaired). I coated the entire frame inside and out plus the majority of the underbody with fluid film before its first winter under my ownership. The frame is in great shape.
