Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
I'm ambivalent. I was annoyed by it at first. There's a traffic light at the top of a steep hill on my way home from work. A favorite pastime while waiting for the green light was, if the vehicle behind me was right on my bumper, I would slowly let up on the brake* and roll back on them. I would award myself 1 point if I could get them to lay on the horn. Good times.

    edit: not clutch, brake FTFM

Gah! You're a tiny thing. No wonder this is somewhat of a challenge. Maybe someone else here with a petite wife or whatever can add some insight as to seating position, etc.

I'm going to take a guess that it may get in the way of offroad capabilites where sports are meant to be your pavement princesses. Could be totally wrong tho

I actually like it without. My old Subaru had it and it drove me nuts when parallel parking on a hi, which I did a lot of when I lived in Pittsburgh. I ended up turning it off.

@tonered would be the definitive source on that but I believe it has to do with the brake booster in the ORs / Pros that’s not in the Sports

    You don't have it.

Nope. Only Sports. No way to do it on the OR/Pro

    This

It's better. Also the brake booster on the OR/Pro is larger and has the ATRAC system.

Supposedly. The hill hold is fantastic on uphill obstacles. Brakes on the OR/Pro are far superior though.

    Yup. ATRAC for the win/loss.

Yessir. The Sport and 2016 / 2017 SR MTs are the only ones. It seems like it could apply to all vacuum boosted ATs, but apparently not.

The OR and Pro AT has a different type of HA that does not hold well. It sounds like it slows coast back but definitely doesn't stop it.

To me it's just a reminder that what matters is the end result. I specifically purchased this specific vehicle for a reason. To offroad and not show off some 20"chrome and lay down stories. Now truth be told I did wait 3 yrs and until my bumper to bumper was out till I balled up and started modifying it.

Anyone ever told you that 10k doesn't really go that far really? I have dropped that since Feb. And as many places that truck went stock. And has been since... I feel some imposter syndrome. I still have so much more I need and want to do to it.

But I do it because it makes me happy. And that is all that needs to be said. :hattip:

Off road models have a hill-holding feature - just slip the clutch :anonymous:

1 year update... manual is a piece of cake and fun as heck and never going back to auto lol. Funny to look back at this thread now.
I'd say it took a solid 5 months to be completely confident.
