    Hello everyone,

I’m new to this forum, but i was hoping someone can help me trouble shoot my headlights....

A few days ago, i blew the DRL fuse while swapping out my raptor grille lights and ever since then, i cannot get the DRL’s to work with the headlights at the same time. I replaced the fuse and the DRL’s/grille lights only power up when i don’t have my low beams on (only when switched to DRL & parking lights). When i have the headlights engaged, the DRL’s and the grille lights won’t turn on. They function perfectly fine, just not all together.

When i originally added my grille lights, i spliced into the low beams and the DRL’s. They worked flawlessly until i switched them out a few days ago. I don’t know what happened after that.

    Any help? Thanks!

I think you can program that through the head unit or the center display?

are you tapped into both DRL circuits? I think the DRL circuit for low beam is another wire? The DRL circuit is a 3 wire plug. Green wire is DRL without low beams and Pink/Blue (Driver/Passenger respectively) wire is DRL with low beam on.

I tapped into both green and pink wires.

I followed a YouTube tutorial video and followed it step-by-step. After completing the installation myself, it worked perfectly fine. When i swapped out the old grille lights for the new ones, the wiring assembly remained put. I never messed with it. Just the LED lights themselves.

I would check where you tapped the pink wire. Maybe it came off or gotten loose. Also if you have access to a voltmeter I would check for power at that wire make sure it is there.

How about just removing it from the DRL pink n green and using an add-a-fuse to the INJ fuse...?

Knowing me, I probably would make it more complicated and run them off a relay so the lights have a direct source and use the DRL circuits to activate the relay; but that is just me. I think the add a fuse is a good option if you are willing/able to go that route. But if not I would go back and re-check all the wiring just because things may have been come loose.

I read a post similar to this. Bay tapping both wire, you may have blown more than 1 fuse. I think your only supposed to tap 1.

I checked pretty much all of the fuses and they seemed fine. Any fuses in particular that i should check?

Just tap into the pink wire, don't do both.

Do you have the parking brake on? The DRLS will not work if the parking brake is on

    I appreciate everyone’s help!

Fortunately for me, I’m under warranty, so i just removed the grille lights and I’m going to take it in to the dealer tomorrow morning. The DRL’s still did not want to work after i removed the grille lights, so perhaps my situation may be a little more complicated.

Im definitely going to go with the add-a-fuse route this next time around lol. I’ll keep everyone updated as soon as this is resolved.

    Fixed my issue here!

I barely noticed that my tail lights weren’t working. Turns out that that fuse was blown too, so i replaced it and BAM! DRL’s are functioning perfectly fine again.

Thank you all to assisted me with resolving this issue.

    OP...do a check at night.
With vehicle ON and running, Parking Brake OFF and ONLY DRL selected on the stalk.
Have someone outside looking at the parking lights before you select DRL's...and you inside looking at the interior lights. Tell us what happens.
