Im pretty sure you cant change the brightness settings on the drl's. It is something that is controlled through resistance and the switch.

It's news to me if you can change the setting on the Daytime Running Lights.....Of course I've been wrong before.

They are supposed to be brighter during the day so people can see you in the daylight, and dimmer at night so they don't, uh, not sure why they dim...

I believe the law says you can only have two sets of light on. Headlights and fogs so LED would make three.

Sorry, I think I misunderstood your question. Don't think there is a setting for dimming drl's.

Suspect they are functioning as designed.

DRLs are not intended to illuminate, but to allow others to notice you, when your headlights are not on.

There is no solution, it is functioning normally.

If you don't think post 11 is logical, just exercise your warranty privileges and let the pros tell you whats up.

There have been reports of failed and replaced LEDs around.

Be sure to report results so we can all learn....

OP is talking about a completely normal function of the drl system.

To the OP dont even waste your time going to the dealer. They are just going to tell you its a normal operating condition. There is no DIY for what you are asking

    :gossip: (read #11as I suggested)

Since the OP had apparently discounted that answer as not being what he wanted to hear, I just gave an alternative.

Diode dynamics makes a module for the FRS/BRZ that keeps the DRL on full time, I bet you could contact them and see if it might fit the Taco.
