    Stock.
The most common one was people getting back in their car right after starting the pump. We had a span of 2 months one summer where it felt like it happened every weekend, to the point where if we saw someone get back in their car we would stop the pump from the inside. The best was when people would come in the store and say "your pump keeps shutting off it must be broken" Telling people they needed to be present while fueling garnered a number of reactions, but most people understood it. Especially after showing them the growing pile of used breakaway valves in the shed.

I'll never forget there was a guy that started fueling, lit a cigarette and opened his hood to check his oil. We had an intercom system and my boss went on it and said "Hey bud unless you plan on blowing up the store put out the cigarette."

He left so fast it was ridiculous.

Just to post my two cents... I would be happy with a DRL only position. Mine (16 TRD OR) is off, auto (turns on the DRLs), parking lights (illegal to drive in CA with parking lights on), and headlights on. I run auto, but many times on my commute home in traffic I'll get stuck under a wide overpass that shades the truck enough to kick on the headlights. Because I added HIDs I'd rather not cycle the headlights if I don't need to. Many time as I pull under an overpass, and it looks like I'll be there for a bit, I'll turn the lights to off until I'm back in the sun and then switch them back to auto. I know, I know... first world problems...

I saw a guy filling up his 4 wheeler in the back of his truck the other day. I called it good with the 4 gallons a managed to get in before he started pumping and got out of there.

    Awesome. Thanks for the details.

Shutting the pump off is genius!
