why did you buy SR headlights?

It is possible to build a harness from TRD DRL + turn to SR but there isn’t any reason to use SR headlights over TRD. Toss the SR’s and you’re all set.

And if anyone is curious about specifics, it's nearly the same as the SR to TRD/OEM LED harness:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/sr-sr5-oem-led-headlight-harness-v2.736263/
if you ignore the pass through low and high beams (hence the same as the SR to TRD harness which is something I don't make or sell because it's not a worthwhile upgrade).
The difference being that the task here is to multiplex turn and drl rather than demultiplex the combination of turn + drl. So, timer, relay, inputs on 87 and 87a and output on 30. Timer would fire the relay off the turn or lack of turn, pick whatever you want to do there, same basic idea.
Roughly the equivalent cost to buying some nice condition halogen TRD takeoffs from someone who has upgraded to OEM LED.

Explain how diodes will flash turns when DRL is on please.

Ah, dumping DRL to tail so low brightness for DRL instead of high.

I’ll give you partial credit for a halfway answer :)

Ah killing DRL signal when turn is active?does that cover hazards?

not to sound repetitive but this isn’t simpler than timer and relay, it’s more complicated and three different harnesses. For the non electrically inclined it’s a lot to deal with.

people generally want to connect a harness to the truck on one end and another to the headlight. They can generally handle zip ties to secure a relay if needed. But most don’t want to mess around with the in cab signals from what we’ve found. Even if behavior isn’t quite as ideal.

The easiest straightforward solution is a timer and relay. Gets it done. No add a fuse or messing around in the cab.

A solid state relay with integrated timer coil would be ideal. It’s tempting to try to design something like that.

I’ll give you 3/4 credit for a hacky solution :)

less good for adding grille lights or anything assuming DRL is DRL rather than DRL when not turning.

We can agree to disagree that 3 is more complicated than 2. I’m confident in my math skills :)

You’ve changed the behavior of the DRL wire at the OEM connector. Hence my use of hack.

I do owe caribe some beers I think. That much is clear :)

easiest path for OP is use TRD headlights. The halogens are effectively free in terms of market value.
