Drooled over Hi Lux's last week

    I went to Costa Rica kayaking last week and was drooling over all the 3.0L 4wd turbo diesel Hi Lux's. Diesels all over the country were quiet, and most 4wd pickups get 30 MPG!! We had a new Nissan Novara (double cab and very comfortable in the back and front seats) carrying 7 kayaks and a Toyota diesel van that was running strong with 470k km on it. The Hi Lux is stunning and lifted more than the Tacoma's. Until they hit the US, I will be happy with my 07 4Runner (for sale) or my 2014 Tacoma DCLB that gets picked up from the dealer Saturday. And the import tariffs there are steep (30%), so a top of the line Hi Lux was $53K US.
