My passenger side is completely shot and now just hangs. For as long as i can remember, it wound hang about an inch from the headliner. Every time my wife pulled it down it would make a loud clicking or snapping sound before it finally gave out. I'm gonna give bending the bar a shot.

Long time lurker, and have saved money by using tips posted here by members, so I thought I would return the favor and post a fix for droopy sunvisors that worked for me.

Unscrew the attaching brackets from the headliner (the two phillips screws). When you look at the top of the plastic attaching bracket, you should see an arrow that on my truck was pointing to the front of the truck. All I did was rotate the bracket around so that the arrow was pointing to the rear and reinstall onto the headliner.

Both my driver side and passenger side had droop, the driver side has the POP and more droop. With this adjustment, in the up postion both are firmly against the headliner, the passenger side hold position at any down angle, and the driver side droops back down slightly from where set if trying to use to block the sun.

They are stuck against the headliner better than ever though!

I rotated the bracket.. it didnt solve mine, it still hangs down, but there is no popping noise so I guess thats an improvement.

I know it sounds stupid, but i wear sunglasses so that i don't have to use the visors so that they'll never droop :D

The 2nd gens have the drooping issue but like mine I have a 2006 TRD Sport with about 56K miles on it and I dont use the visor a lot so its still tight but my other friend has the same year and model and he already took of his drivers side one from the droopage but he drives his truck a lot more.

Yup...My 07 also. Even while clipped in place, it doesn't hug up against the roof like it should (or did).

My visor finally just broke. It's made the clicking sound for quite awhile. I cut the fabric so I could see inside. The visor is of plastic and a top and bottom. They were being pushed apart by the thing that creates the tension to hold the visor in place. I drilled a 1/4" hole about 2" in from the hinge edge where it was coming apart and put a 1/4" bolt through and tightened it up. Seems to be working now. Just don't look at the shiny bolt head. Saved $135 if bought from Toyota, or about $85 on ebay. I might buy the ebay visor if this one starts to come apart. I glued the fabric back together and onto the plastic. Not sure how that is going to work out.
