Dropped by the dealer to talk about the TSB, was essentially told to go to hell

Welcome to the wonderful world of Toyota Dealer Customer Service. I think they send these assholes to school to learn this stuff (Shitty Attitude). I have had multiple similar interactions with WARRENTON, TOYOTA in Virginia and will NEVER go back there. I got the same crappy attitude from the service people up to the owner of the dealership. I am in the market for another commuter car (My Toyota Yaris has 275,000 miles on it - I drive 105 miles each way to work 5 days a week). Although I love my Toyota roller skate for commuting, I will buy somewhere else...NEVER WARRENTON TOYOTA Again!!!!

Send an E-mail to Corporate (avoiding profanity) specifically targeting that Dealer and their attitude. Tell them your starting to look at Chevy Colorado's. I did that in the past and two days later the Dealer was rolling out the red carpet.

When I had the RAM, the local dealers all sucked.
I would drive 2hrs each way to get warranty service cause that dealer always took good care of me.
4hrs round trip might seem a lot but when you factor in the frustration, incompetence and fat-headed service writers, I
felt it was worth it for my own piece of mind.

I wanted DRLs enabled in the RAM..no one in the USA could seem to figure this out (its stupidly easy) so I went to Buffalo to visit the old man and then drove across up into Ontario and hit a Ram dealer up there. He enabled them for a nominal fee. Told me next time I was in the area to bring up a bottle of Jack for them :)

We need to find a way to list and report GOOD/DECENT dealers in each state. Trash the ones that treat us like crap.

If I were you, and you want to have a dealership close to home to deal with, I would go back and talk to someone else. Mention that you've had bad experiences before, but would like to continue giving them your business if things can be resolved.

Answer any customer survey questions accurately, but you won't be getting one for this encounter obviously. I would avoid dealing with the employee you spoke with last time.

For what it's worth, there is no chance of having that TSB performed in Canada until the TSB is released in Canada. Even if the dealer wanted to and even if you wanted to pay for it yourself, they won't be able to access the calibration file needed to do it.

With regard to loaners, that is 100% up to each dealership as to whether they provide them or not. Doesn't matter where you are.

Any idea when the TSB will be released in Canada?

Not really. It will need to be translated into French and be assessed for Canadian weather requirements and so on.

My guess would be a couple of months, but as I said, that's a guess.

I would actually pay a good amount of money if I can get this done in the states (I know it's probly not possible) but I feel like us Canadians get shafted up here and I don't wanna wait another 4 months for it to get released up here my truck drives like shit and this tsb would answer 85 percent of my issues only thing I wish it did was throttle input like ect helps but I want like double that input so it doesn't feel like I'm towing 3500 pounds when I'm not...
