    That's what I did too when I recently jumped to 35s and regeared to 4.88s. Learned open-open two-pedalling, and now I moved up to open-locked. I dont have the needed wheel time yet for locked-locked. I would do something stupid and break my IFS probably when locked up front. Perhaps after another five years of wheeling I'll reconsider. I got out wheeling last week for the first time after breaking in my gears. It was awesome using the rear locker. Got to impossible spots numerous times open-open plus two-pedalling wasn't getting me by, rear just kept spinning. Flipped that locker, applied a light foot, and boom got past it. I'm loving it.

    This is good to hear . I am thinking along the same lines. Probably break a cv with front locker. There has been more than one time when I know a rear locker would have made things much easier. The 285/75r17s is really close to 35 so I thinks the 488's were a good choice for me. In addition I got the gear set for a great deal here on TW.

    I got the cool tire rack off of
    @J03x122
    and had originally planned to mount it up against the bed like he made it to be. Well as usual there was some unhelpful bed bolt that was rusted in place and would not budge.
    Had to come up with another plan. This is where I ended up.
    20201008_173424.jpg
    Had to get a little creative and made some bushings to get it to sit nice when I do bolt it down.

    He built it to fit a 285/16s
    I have 285/17 and had to air the tire down to get it in there.

    Mounted up the fire extinguisher this morning. This position will keep the recovery box in place.
    The recovery box did not fit in the box that the rack came with so I chopped of just enough to fit it and hold the high lift stand and a nice wood block. Finished it off with some of that fender edge trim.

    20201018_135719.jpg
    Latest revison gas cans at end of bed? I am leaning toward the end of the bed for easy access.
    Bonus 4x4 for trail repair type shit.

    So currently i am disappointed with the vinyl wrap on the hood. I installed fine but afterwards seeing it in some better light I see that the installation squeegee scratched it all up. Make sure you use a felt tipped or friction sleeve is what the company told me after I let them know what happened. Then they told me to remove the protective sheet that it does not have.o_OIMG_2405.jpg
    20201021_153447.jpg at this point they are refusing to replace it and I have been continuing to try and get a amicable resolution. Not ready to throw their name under the bus just yet. I blame the poor quality of the squeegee they sold me.

    lesson- use felt tipped squeegee and test it on a piece of vinyl before you install.
