I expected it to slam on the breaks but it didnt do anything. Multiple attempts. Got a crowd looking at me like I'm a jackass.

But seriously, why not? I drove at a steady speed (approx 30 mph), kept foot on gas steady and hands on wheel steady. It did not stop.

I'm assuming you have a 2018+ model and were testing out the TSS, right?

let us just log into your tacoma’s network and we’ll get our best agents on it.

for your edifice i’d start here. sue toyota, the dealership and maker of the boxes. demand a new truck and demand a replacement for that truck. this is beyond a lemon law i think it’s actually a lime. also demand a unlimited mile warranty, probably ask for floor mats free lunches.

... and a blowjob while we're at it.

(Forgive me OP as even though I do not have anything of use to add to your legitimate question, I had to indulge myself.)

Funny enough, there are videos that encompass both, simultaneously... Not that I would personally know of such things.

Surprised at the lack of interest in this thread. Just because the adoptive cruse control works doesn’t necessarily mean the crash control works. I thought about doing the same with cardboard proped up the same size as a car. But didn’t do it because I was afraid of cracking my the recently installed pro grille. How high were your boxes stacked? Maybe a paper banner like high school football players run through would be a reasonable test.

Tape aluminum foil to the front face of the box. Cardboard will not give you any radar reflection. I think the braking gets actuated if both the camera and the radar alarm at the same time.

I would love to know more details about how that system is programmed. Is there a low speed cutoff where it does not work, for example. I don't rely on it, just want to know more about it.

But how did the brakes work?

I'm curious about the whole thing. Vid would have been useful. Can you redo the test and film it? Serious

Maybe it was a speed factor. I could imagine the sensors don’t work at low speeds?
