Hey Jay! LCA skids, hitch skids, bed braces etc (parts that require powder coat) have been at powder coat for the last 4 weeks or so. I was told they would be finished up this week sometime so I am aiming to get them shipped out next week. I apologize for the delays it’s been equally frustrating for my self as well. If you ever have any questions don’t hesitate to shoot me an email (info@drt-fabrication.com) This has taken much longer than I anticipated but doing the best that I can. Have a great night!

Hey dude! I got some of them back from powder coat yesterday. Depending on when you ordered will determine if yours will be shipping. The powder coat place has ran out of the textured black to finish my parts. But was told they have more on the way. Really doing my best here haha appreciate the patience.

Any update on the hangar kits? Will they be available without shackles and will the hangars fit stock or other stock geometry shackles? Thanks

Nice work. What this platform needs is a lower control arm with the lower ball joint moved forward one inch to give it more posterior clearance. I think it’s ridiculous that we need a cmc to fit 33”s. Caster correct LCA’s will help.

Hoping to have these in the next few months. For those of you who don’t know this is a 1 man operation. My goal is to get an inventory of the current products I make and then build an inventory of hangers so that everything is always in stock. Hangers will only be sold with shackles.

    Hey gents!

So I wanted to first say that I got my LCA skids and can't say enough good things about the craftsmanship and customer service from DRT Fab.

    This company is going places!

Unfortunately my excitement was cut short as I made a grave mistake during installation that I would like to share so that hopefully it does not happen to anyone.

Let me start by saying that I feel like an imbecile and this is in no way a flaw in the overall design from DRT Fab.

In order to install the skids, you will need to use a 7/16 drill bit to make a hole on the LCA bigger in order to fit the proper hardware. Unfortunately, when I was drilling, I did not anticipate the sudden jerk of the drill as it shot up through the hole and accidentally nicked the CV Axle Boot causing a tear.

So yes, I feel like an absolute idiot and now will have to deal with the financial consequences of having to repair the CV boot.

I hope this write up prevents someone from making the same mistake.

Again, DRT Fab provided clear install instructions. It was my carelessness that caused this screwup.

Possibly touch the puncture up with a dab of appropriate RTV? Thanks for sharing and looking out for us.

Always planned on getting the cab mount relocation from DRT, and now those LCA skids are calling my name as well. DRT’s welds are on par with Westcott, which up until this point was the best I’ve seen.

I do have some black RTV, wouldn't it be an issue if any of it went inside the hole and mixed with the grease? That stuff gets thick.

Not if you apply it and allow to cure prior to any subsequent use I’d believe.

    Not a bad idea.

Im thinking im going to plug it with a bike patch and rub RTV over it and wrap a bag with some gorilla tape.

This is of course just a temporary fix until pay day.
