I really can’t touch on that but I have added additional hitch tube gussets.. clearance didn’t allow for square tubing so it’s actually 1.5”x.120 round tube.

Have also added additional frame supports for the side plates. Should be very stout!

Front bumper prototype was a success! Some minor tweaks but thinking the next prototype should be on the money and open to pre-orders

Just saw your rear bumper and have to say it looks like it might be one of the best on the market (low weight + great clearance stats + modular with a swingout).

Want to know if you had an update or could provide some previews of how the swingout would work?

    Separately....any sales planned?

Thanks! @samer312 100s of hours of thought and R&D went into it haha. Very happy with how the rear bumpers came out.

here are some swing out teasers

the “wedge” and pivot tube base plates will both bolt on to the bumper with 5 3/8 grade 8 bolts per side. Both mounts are a combination of 1/4 & 3/16 steel and bolt through the tail light cap section as well as the main shell of the bumper assembly.

here are a hand full of photos of what you can expect the swing out to look like

couple key details that I’m excited about
    • billet E3 latch comes standard
    • bead rolled 16 x 33.75 aluminum swing out table
    • billet pull pin
•stainless slide plate for pull pin to prevent powder coat wear/damage
    • adjustable tire mount carrier for different wheel offsets and tire widths

currently running 10% off on our hybrid front bumpers as well

    This looks awesome!!!!

I will definitely be stocking this thread for updates because this looks exactly like the rear bumper my truck needs:).

Thanks for the update. Hopefully you can take a break and enjoy the holiday weekend.

I'm going to put in another word here re: laser-cut logos.

Let me preface by saying that overall, DRT's products & workmanship look top-tier -- super clean welds, excellent geometry, etc.

But I am troubled by the appearance of LARGE "DRT" logo cutouts, frequently in locations that are load-bearing. Esp. on the cab-mount relo brackets, think about how that cut-out DRT log is going to hold up long-term if the thin parts of the logo cut-out start to rust out.

The DRT cut out logo on the upgraded front spindle gussets also looks no-bueno: it has tons of sharp angles and points in it that are basically incipient stress risers for future cracks to propagate from.

If you must insist on using a prominent, permanent logo, consider making the cut-outs much smaller (like 1/3rd the size,) or perhaps using separate laser-cut emblems that are then surface-applied. (Welded on after the main part is completed, resulting in a 'raised relief' look over solid metal.)

    Just my two bits.

Originally the Cmr logo was much smaller. Not for stress reasons just preference but it wasn’t doable on the tube laser. It never came out clean. I have zero concerns about the cmr kit having stress risers due to the cut out. It’s very overbuilt haha.

I can see your point with the spindle gusset, not exactly concerned but more so curious what some stress simulations would say. Typically all of the cut outs are radius inside corners to some extent as well. I avoid sharp corners on cut outs in general.

These are good points. I guess for flat parts its easy enough for anyone concerned about it to just cut off a little flat piece & weld it over any logo cutout.

Would love to have an option for a mid height say 10.5" top of bed to top of rack? Any chance this maybe in the works?
