    I saw the title and feared worse than this - on the home page it said 'drunk driver killed my...' and was expecting a person to have been killed. Glad to hear that didn't happen, but sorry asbout your loss and the hassle you'll have getting it fixed.

    Yeah tree, I didn't notice this thread until just now. I saw your pics on the sad day thread. Good to know you were not inside the truck bro. I hope the Audi wasn't yours too. Getting two cars knocked out at the same time would suck a lot, but I got a feeling both cars were in the driveway. I feel your pain man. I once had a drunk driver hit my old Nissan Altima. Memories... you'll get something in the mail about lost time from work and additional expenses due to this accident. This is where the drunk driver where face additional charges or his/her insurance will pay out some more should you choose to not to file suit. Again man, sorry to hear what happened.
    When are we going to shop for a new Tacoma? :D Come on, I had to say it.

    Likely get a Taco...but it's my dad's decision...I am still some time away from the tacoma but told him if he replaces his truck with a tacoma and the one that I want I would just make payments to him. He might get my mom a new car since her's is nearing 300k. I still have my BMW that I drive and it still has life left.

    I hate drunks!!! Here in SC it's almost like they get a slap on the wrist and told not to drive again. Doesn't seem to be any "penalties" to drinking and driving.

    The appraiser estimated the damage was about 25k to fix...

    Just got the police report...the guy who hit my car didn't have a DL or Ins...he was probably an illegal as well. He was cited and released...that pisses me off...could have killed someone and that is all he got. Thank god I have a good insurance company. We bought the Tundra in Nov for about 17k....they will pay us 28,700 for it...looks like a Tacoma in the more more near future. Audi was estimated as 7k to repair.
