    Super, Super, Super happy with this mod!!!!

    I got one of his original harness back in July and finally got around to installing it a week ago. Mostly due to my lack of confidence on where to mount the rock lights. Now that I finally decided on where to place them and get this mod installed I’m pissed I didn’t do it sooner. It’s so nice having that little extra light when the door opens. It really make the truck pop out in a parking lot as well.
    I hooked mine up to a Switch Pro and four Kustom 54 lighting rock lights. After running into a problem with connecting the trigger wire to the wrong wire in the harness held within the A puller. @DSIM looked into the problem for me and was able to send me a diagram of the harness and the correct wire to connect to. He was such a great help. I have included some images of where I placed my rock lights along with a link to the lights. If you want to see a quick video of them in action check out my Instagram (@welds_taco).
    In the end the installation was a breeze and well worth the $$, time and effort.
    Great job man.

    Installed these led's inline with my previously installed dsim module for my foot well lights to make some puddle lights. Nice to see the area around my truck when approaching my door. Thanks again for making the module.

    I guess I should have done a write up since a few people have already asked. But I didn't. But I just have to say that the lights I ended up buying for $5 each through a local lighting shop called DDM tuning. And then I had to remove the mirrors and there's a small cover underneath to remove that you have to be careful not to break and then I ended up drilling holes to mount the lights. I also use a Dremel to file down the fins on that plate. Then I wired that led light harness through the door and grounded the negative with a negative wire to the mirror harness. And in the positive wire I ran straight into your harness. I used to be in a stereo and alarms installer at best buy so I was pretty good at wiring it through that sheath that goes from the door to the body. Now for both the negative wire coming off the LED I just used a tap which I know many professionals do not like to use but I honestly also don't like cutting into my wiring if I can avoid it. I also tapped into that wire off your harness that was the positive yellow wire. So again I spent $10 on the two LED bulbs. And all I needed was about 8 feet of wire total to run my positive line. And then of course the two taps. So I guess I really only spent under $20 total. I already have large amounts of taps and wire for all the projects that I do.

    I know I had a few second genners buy with no issues, but cannot comment on install instructions.

    @trekker any advice here?

    If they work I can get a wiring schematic and figure out how/where to tap into and put. But any quick advice from the ones who have done it would be most excellent. :thumbsup:

    It'll work the same way for second gens. The wire to tap into on the a-pillar is light blue instead of yellow. You can verify this by chasing the wire down to the fuse block where it connects at the same pin location as the yellow wire does on the 3rd gens.
