Asking if anyone that's a TW member a "normal joe" is there or has been there to view new Tacos?

Our information seems to be limited at this time we've been told all we will for now. However a normal joe that's knows the Tacos could clarify a few things.

1.) Suspension really different or look to be exactly the same?
2.) Frames actually different or same?
3.) In person has your opinion changed from the to love to hate or vice versa?

Many times in past I've experienced where pictures don't capture how you feel about something. With just all the pics in front of me I really don't like the front end, but maybe in person?... I dunno.

Was hoping for some normal joe feedback to be discussed here upon seeing the real thing. Over 100k members and all we have is media stuff.

Please chime in if you've seen it live and your thoughts.

Probably would of had to go to the Detroit Auto Show or work for Toyota. You might be able to contact toyota and get some info.

Really not too sure how close you'd be able to get however some interesting things we haven't seen would be if you can get close enough.

1.) Rear springs and suspension attachment points
    2.) Exhaust routing
3.) Front skid plate "underneath truck" see if that lower (toothed) section is removable easy to make a diff smooth skid plate?
4.) Inside rear cab roof. (Did they just sculpt up the headliner to make more room)?

We've seen almost all else really. So lastly would be just how you feel about it in person versus what you've seen online in pictures.

Enjoy your visit to show, really wish I myself was able to see all this years new vehicles in person to! :)

I actually seem to be in the minority and like the new look from pictures, but I will report back tomorrow or later tonight with how I feel about it in person.

Was at the show on Sat. The suspension bits I thought looked different, but was looking more as a new Tacoma owner!
The bummer, the truck was locked and had the "prototype" sticker on the window. Could only get close to the extended cab, the crew cab was on the big display and you could not get close to it.

I thought the truck looked quite nice in person. not as good as the new Supra though!

They had the Tacomas so that you couldn't really get very close to see much other than what the photos on the internet are showing. As far as I could tell the suspension looks the same, but I think its a 4 leaf pack in the rear. Truck looks good in person though, but I was one of the few that liked it before.

The "proto-type" sticker reminds me of some thoughts I had on Monday's reveal. Is the show truck just the old underpinnings with the new body panels, interior. I don't know the process used when getting a "new" (and at this time I use the term new very loosely) ready for production but with 8 maybe 9 months before production why not just slap the new stuff on the old since in this case the cab and basic dimensions are the same. Certainly the test mules for the drive train were the "old" Tacoma.
