Thinking of adding in a secondary battery. Looking for things to watch out for and consider from those that have done it. Location, issues that arose, etc. Did you hook them up in parallel, or run a cable form the alternator to the secondary? If so, any load worries on the alternator? Did you run the ground to the same frame location as the primary? That sort of thing. I plan on running an alt fuse box off this battery for stuff I may keep on longer, hence not thinking of running in parallel to the primary. But, just thinking at the moment...

Grey wire and keyless entry. I like stock.
Isolator is the only way to go. Hook them in parallel and you'll kill both quicker.

do in isolation. Easy to setup anyways.

Can always beef up the alternator, i did and am glad i did. I did the simple way with a CS144.

My build thread has a ton of info on this in the OP under Electrical. On both dual batteries in general, my own setup, and the alternator swap. Just click the sig pic.

hardest part is finding a good spot for that second battery. and as the others have said, set it up in isolation.
    heres the crap i used.
blue sea ML-ACR isolator, some 00 ga wire and a 150amp circuit breaker.

mounted it on a plate next to the stock battery location.

and mounted the battery under the bed.
