    Hi,
So I was thinking about doing a dual battery system (obviously)
I'm planning on running a light bar and maybe a winch, and some subs off of this, but it's mostly so I dont get stuck without power.

I'm thinking about getting either a optima (yellowtop or redtop?) or a 'ritar' but I haven't heard a lot about either battery brands. I'm also considering a bigger alternator but not sure if I need it yet.
Besides needing an isolator as well as fuses, wiring and placement, I have no clue how to start:confused:

If anyone's had luck making their own dual battery system please, enlighten me.

The cheaper alternative is a bigger battery. The diehard platinum group 31m I believe.
