look forward to the bolt-in systems. Would love to see one that places the second battery on the passenger side to better distribute the weight.

Why the big-ass relay on the top plate? Is that to select one or two battery power?

Cool. So if I wanted to install a dual battery set-up with any time power feature, this would be the way to go?

    I already have this:

    rtmr_switch_panel_zps8fq7e00b_f78c483a74a8ca46106e69b756671b28ca795607.jpg

    rtmr_mock_up_zps8skoersg_10fab2d1464a68dd1bf3d2f455c2f50148107d56.jpg

I would have to go from the yellow deep cycle battery to the RTMR, correct?

And where does that black harness with inline fuse that comes out of the bottom of the ML-ACR disappear to?

    LOL... it's not a boat. ;)

Dual batteries are the first mod that should be done by anyone wanting to spend time in the woods in my opinion. My truck has a fridge lights kids with computers and tvs, I never worry about my battery power. I run two diehard group 31 batteries.
Sorry to go on a rant buy this set up and you will be happy you can make it as fancy or as plain as you want.

Awesome! You'll be happy to hear that this is the first kit that will be released. The design is finalized and they're being cut as we speak. 100% bolt-in, passenger side, single battery tray. Designed to fit an Odyssey OR Optima Group 34 OR Group 35.

Yep! It's the Blue Sea ML-ACR (Magnetic latching - Automatic Charging Relay)

it's a voltage sensing relay that has an automatic combine/ disconnect feature with both in-cab switch and manual lockout. They are VERY nice units.

Looks like all you need is a relay. The Blue Sea ML-ACR is a really nice product.

Yes. All of your "auxiliary" or "house" power draws should come from your secondary battery through the RTMR. In most cases, only the factory electronics and your winch should draw off the primary/ starting battery.

The black harness that comes out of the relay is the wiring for the in-cab switch. In some of my designs/ kits, there will also be voltage monitoring built in to the switch panel. So that harness would house those wires as well.

We'll also be building dual-battery trays for the driver's side for those that prefer that setup.

I still have my original design for the 1st Gens. I'll be improving on it slightly before releasing it. Shouldn't be more than a couple weeks out.
