Dual Climate Control panel

I need to find a replacement but I don't need all new electronics connected in the back. They can separate, anyone have any ideas where I could find one?

 

Try a salvage yard. New trucks get wrecked and you can usually find what you need

 

There's a big building close by with a large sign out front that says Toyota, they have a parts dept.

 

Welcome to the forum. Like @TacoManOne said, try a junk yard. If you buy a new panel from Toyota it will be stupid expensive.

 

The climate control panel (including the 4x4 control and the push button start, if equipped) is a separate module. It's easily removable / replaceable, but it would cost a fortune if bought as a part.

 

What's the story here?

 

Sometimes the salvage yard is not always the cheapest vs. just buying it new.

 

So you want the buttons, knobs, lens and trim plastics?

 

No salvage yard is going to split that part up to save joe blow a few dollars

 

So I see basically two answers here - Salvage Yard or New - Why make a new member feel unwelcome. I think maybe he was looking for the third answer - that just maybe someone here might of had an extra for whatever reason. WELCOME Brek08. Is there a third place to get one? I highly doubt anyone is parting out a 3rd gen that's willing to break apart this control panel

Got me, but is you read the description the one that is dual control has pry damage that the seller admits to. It's likely good if you need the guts, but useless is you need mint

Out of curiosity, is the climate control version compatible with the non-climate control version connections? Is it possible to upgrade to the dual climate controls?

OP, welcome to TW. Ignore the white knighters as I hope you have thicker skin than that.

 

While anything is possible, the realistic and short answer is not really. All sorts of things are missing beyond the panel itself. Wiring issues with all sorts of stuff, blend motors, ETC. ...

It's been mentioned here before, but to my knowledge it never goes far due to cost and complexity.

 

That's what I honestly expected to hear. It seems almost too easy if it was plug and play with all the same computers. Thanks!

 

Lots of things are plug and play with Toyota. This just isn't one of them lol.
