I have a premium model with the dual auto climate control. My display screen has only ever shown the temperature settings for both sides of the vehicle whatever number I have it set on like 72 degrees for example.

Ive seen a few different pictures of new 2019/2020 tacomas posted by dealers on autotrader that show a LO or a HI showing on that screen. What is that for and how to you access that mode? Or is a setting that's part of a shipping mode that Ive seen shown with some vehicles?

This is a pic of what Im referring too: 2ad821365c8441d48c128093f74e4ae1.jpg

Spin that temp dial one direction until it says hi or lo.

I think you are asking why each side always has the same settings? If so, it is because you have the "Sync" button on.

That's it. Thanks for the info.

Now if someone call tell me how to change the setting to where the headlights wont stay on until you open the door on the truck. After I drive somewhere and then park and shut off the ignition if I stay in the truck and not get out, the light stay on when the auto headlights are on.

Click lock on the fob twice and they shut off.

Wait, misread that. So you want them to shut off when you turn the truck off? Not sure but there might be an option set in one of the reprogramming tools.

    Read the fabulous manual.

See chapter 9-2. Also search on Carista and TechStream settings.

why read the manual when some random person on the internet can give you an answer.

better yet, why not actually turn the temp dial all the way up and down and see what it does. FFS

common sense dictates that LO means the lowest temp and HI means the hottest

Thread hijack, sorry. While we’re on the heat settings, is there not an option for defrost only mode? It seems the only option for the defrost is having your feet cooking at the same time. Am I missing this or is it something that you can program?

Push the button with the windshield icon instead of the mode button.

If your auto headlights are ON it should turn off after 30sec or so whether you get out of the truck or not. Or just turn the dial all the way to OFF to turn it off when you shutdown the truck. Also theres a settings for lights in the gauge cluster screen. Go and play with it.

Thanks. Yes I have already been in the settings and didnt see anything for this particular thing. If I park the truck and turn igintion off but DO NOT EXIT the headlights stay on Im guessing for up to 20 minutes . I know its at least 10 minutes because its done it. The only setting Ive seen is for how long they stay on after exiting and its nowhere near that long. Im just going to ask about at the dealer for my next service. It might have to be changed with a techstream.

Why not just turn them off before you get out of the truck?
