Bear in mind that there is more to flow than tube size. The exhaust design should be tuned to the exhaust pulses. This take sophisticated testing and design chops. As many have stated, the gains you may see will be negligible. If you start screwing around with the exhaust without the understanding or the testing, you stand a better than average chance of ending up LOSING power.

Yeah, sound is a personal choice.
I wasnt crazy about the magnaflo and something about the 40 didnt seem right
The 50 really hit me as "the one"
Your on the right track, listen to them all in person if u can.
3" from the Y to the muffler then 2 1/2" out each side

But that is exactly what he said would happen if I split it before and did the dual in.
Maybe someone with that setup will chime in

Well I uploaded a dyno run in the first page. It is a dyno run after installing a flowmaster 50 series dual catback with 2.5" and it lost about 6.8ft tq and gained about 5.5 hp. So far the research I've done tells me that 2.5" duals is too much for the 4.0 v6 N/A unless its super or turbo charged.

He went from the stock Y pipe to the muffler then over the axle around the spare and out.
He does great work, I just dug out the receipt, that was back in 2006 and its still hanging strong.

Automatics don't make for ugly dyno charts. Poor dyno operation makes for charts like yours. The operator must have let the transmission shift gears, and kept on pulling. If he had made the charts HP vs. tire speed, instead of RPM, the graphs would have looked MUCH better. I'm guessing that he started the pull in 1st gear, let it shift into 2nd, and then into 3rd - there are 3 distinct sets of "good" data, when you filter out the "noise" data from the shift-change transition periods

He could have also just made the run in ONE gear, and you would have had a single smooth line. What is REALLY bad, is your "peak" numbers are totally bogus. Those "peaks" are occurring during the shift transitions - the parts of your graph where it looks like a 5-year old is scribbling.

I've PS'ed out the misleading data, and now you can see what the REAL results are (sorry, not what you probably want to see).

ONE interesting thing this graph does show, is how your power readings will vary depending upon which gear the transmission is in. 4th gear would be the most accurate data, except the computer will pull power once you hit about 110mph wheel speed.

I figured there had to be a way to properly dyno an Auto.

Yes. He just mashed the pedal and let the transmission do it's thing. :(
