I did a search on here, but came up empty (no pun intended since this is about fuel tanks)... so has anyone installed an auxillary fuel tank on their Tacoma? Is it even possible (ie, is there room for one other than in the bed)?

This is something I would definitely be interested in when I get my Tacoma (trying to wait out the 2012s...we'll see!)

    Anyway... anyone?

Why not put one in your bed? I mean get one that's the same capacity as a bedbox toolbox but under the truck I don't think is possible

I saw a post either on here or on TN where someone had used an old Izuzu Trooper tank in the spot where the spare tire was and it fit perfect between the frame. They had installed it with a pump in it and used the pump to refill the trucks tank.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I think there is a company in Australia that makes a tank they call the LONG RANGER that fits underneath the truck perfectly. I think they're very expensive. I would like to see a group buy on that sucker, though.

Yeah but your MPG doesn't change so it lasts longer.

That looks pretty cool. I put an Aerotanks replacement tank in my old Dodge Quad-Cab Dually 4x4 Diesel, taking my fuel capacity from 35 gallons to 60 gallons.

I'm interested in this product. Has anyone figured out the price, or do we have to contact the manufacturer?

Someone would have to call them up to figure out a price. The Hilux and the Tacoma are basically the same truck but it may not work for the Tacoma.
