Hey everybody. I am thinking about doing some mods to my '97 Taco. I am for sure wanting to do the rear locker. I'm thinking about getting the Powertrax NoSlip locker for the rear. Now is where I need your guys' help. Should I get the front locker as well or no? If I put in a front locker is it always engaged (all 4 wheels constantly locked) even when the transfer case is in 2WD, or does it only engage the locker (locking all 4 wheels) when i actually switch to 4WD? If i get a a front locker I was thinking about getting the Powertrax Lockright locker. How easy or hard is it to install these, does anybody know? The website says these are supposed to be easy and don't require a professional or any special tools.http://www.rocky-road.com/toylockright.html

Front lockers are great if you plan on off-roading the snot out of it. If not it's kinda overkill.
I've used my ARB front locker only a handful of times - and then it was just for the heck of it.
Rear lockers are the bomb.

Do the rear locker first and go from there. Truck will be in 2wd even with diff locked. No special tools needed to install the no-slip but ring gear does have to be pulled. Torquing the bolts putting it back on will be hardest part. I have a no-slip in my truck and love it.
