@Hans Landa the true benefit of running a secondary shock, specifically a bypass shock, is to be able to increase your damping control throughout the stroke of travel. This allows you to get a good quality ride zone while also being able to handle harsh bottom outs. Typically, we see this most in racing applications but there are many benefits for regular users. For an "overlander" a bypass would allow you to tune the truck for nuance terrain such as washboard roads while still having the bottom out control.

That said, the cons are obviously cost in additional to the loss of low speed control which may be counterproductive for your crawling scenarios. You really have to weight the cost to see if running a secondary shock is right for you.

Not great advice, as I don't believe they offer 3rd gen LCA bushings.

And LCA skids are 100% pointless and reduce ground clearance.

Anyone remember when people used to just drive out in the woods and go camping, and it didn't really matter what vehicle you were in?

We don't need that type of negative energy in here. The vehicle is ALL that matters.

    3rd gen bushings: https://whitelineperformance.com/co...oducts/w53522-control-arm-lower-inner-bushing

    LCA skids:
they could be useless if you don’t put them to work, and the clearance can vary from brand to brand. I wouldn’t recommend for vehicles that will go through water and conditions like that.

    Cheers, it’s Friday!

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
This is completely irrelevant…have you seen the A-Arms with 3 shocks ;)
