I feel as if you rode a WR250, you would hate your little Kawi.

But they are great little bikes, even if "underpowered" is the understatement of the century for both them and the CRF250L

    :)

Crf250l rider here, 28k miles logged in the past 4 years. Great bike, shady at times on the freeway but I've been all over the place on it. Single track, powerlines, freeway for eons (500miles) longest trip Boston to key west Florida, the bike performs flawlessly. Wouldnt have it any other way. Did a full exhaust, tune and some bars. Love it.

You got that right, it was brutal Boston to DC on 95. After that leg it was rt 301 and 1 which allowed me to go at a slower rate. Main land Florida sucked. I run the k270 kendas and they do great. Felt nice to plop my ass in the sand at the beach on arrival.

The lil 250 isn't too bad you can hit 90 on it, I've held it at the throttle stop for a few hours. At 75mph 3gallons of fuel last about 2 hours. Cruising at 55 it's great on gas. Run 14/42 gearing, rubber mounted bars, cyclops led, pillow tops and fat pegs.

Yea, its been 2000 miles of pure enjoyment. I'm still running the stock pipe and intake but it still makes it so much more fun

So I've been looking for a dual sport myself and not sure what make or model I want. I grew up riding and racing on a rm250. But haven't rode dirt in eons. Any suggestions from you guys would be great. My main reason is to be able to still be street legal and be able to hit some trails around my area.

I know from reading stuff on here and YouTube vids suspension upgrades are pretty much a must. All friends have 450 and brother has the ktm501 but I also know ktm are expensive bikes to own and not alot of places around me like too work on them. So I'm thinking maybe a Suzuki drz.
