Dual VVT-i from a 4Runner in a Tacoma?

    anyone know if this a bolt on, direct mount mod? Anyone done it? Much performance difference?

    I don't know about fit man but, I'm sure someone on here does. I'll be interested in learning about it...


    I had the full TRD exhaust on my T|X Pro 2012 DCSB Taco 4x4...the only non-standard thing on it but, I'll tell ya, it would kick my 4Runners ass for acceleration. I also could beat a buddy with an access cab Tundra 5.7 with my Taco.

    aint gonna be a direct bolt on.... and you will need the ECU out of the dual vvti... WAY more hassle than its worth.

    Wife drives a 2014 4 Runner dual VVT-I - I drive a 2015 Tacoma V6 PreRunner

    You can have the dual VVT-i as far as I'm concerned.

    The dual vvt-i is a weaker structurally block engine too. User: Torspd should give you more inside story of this engine. Our single vvt-i has stronger internal parts then that dual vvt-i. BTW both engines don't share a lot of things internally and the block too if I remember right.
