dual zone climate control and heated seats standard on 2021 TRD models?

I seen a picture that had heated cloth seats and dual zone climate control on a 2021 base TRD model standard. Can anyone chime in on this one?

 

The automatic dual zone climate control is supposed to be standard on 2021 but not sure about the heated seats.

 

From the Toyota press release:

Available in 33 different configurations, the 2021 Tacoma offers a model for all seasons and reasons. It also adds more standard equipment across the lineup, providing dual zone auto AC on all V6 models, upgraded audio to allow for premium Remote Services on the TRD Sport and Off-Road and a first-aid kit equipped on SR5 models and higher.

All Tacoma models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P), which includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beams.

 

Upgraded audio? interesting.. cause i thought thats been a thing since the 2020 models.

Has anyone determined this? I was on the website today and noticed the heated seats controls on my cloth seat build.

 

No heated cloth seats unless you get dynamic navigation package.

 

thats awesome. i wouldnt mind that just for the digital read out. i actually went and bought a dual zone unit exactly for that purpose. didnt even care if dual zone worked or not. tried to piggy back off a few threads last year as there WAS interest in getting us analog guys converted just for the readout, but it didnt end up going anywhere. anyhow, thats great news for the new tacos.

 

I don't think I have heated seats on mine. So I'm assuming it's not standard on the TRD OR trim.

 

My 21 TRD OR has dual climate control, but not heated seats.

 

My 2021 Sport has both heated seats and dual climate control.

 

Is this a regional thing? I’ve never seen the heated seats oem switch and location. Btw my trd or ‘21 has tech package, dual zone, no heated seats.

 

It probably is a regional thing especially if you live in the Northern parts of U.S and Canada where it is cold and you would love to keep your buns warm. Just saying but not sure but I am glad to have them.

 

I don’t think it is regional. I live in New Hampshire with a 2021 TRD OR with dual zone climate and no heated seats.

Heated seats must be a component of an optional package.

 

Well you live in the northern part of the U.S where it is cold. Not sure if they come for people living in Florida or California. So they are part of the optional pack but depending where the vehicles is ordered will decide if it comes with heated seats or not. You would have to check the U.S site to see what is optional. Just saying.

 

Just to add - looking at the current Toyota build page, it seems you need the Premium package to get heated seats.

Then heated seats come with the Premium Package. Does your OR have leather seats and all the other goodies in the package.
